Our Restaurant

Family-run Cantonese cooking

A small restaurant on St Mary's Road, run by the family who cook in it. Aromatic duck carved at the table, noodles pulled by hand, and the dishes Market Harborough has been ordering for years.

What We're Known For

Five dishes we'd put our name to

Sliced aromatic duck served with rice and pickled vegetablesA bowl of hand-pulled noodles in broth with beef and greensKing prawns with vegetables plated on a white dishTwice-cooked pork with peppers and vegetables on a red plateDumplings in a bamboo steamer basket

香酥鴨

£52.00

  • Marinated for a full day in five spice, steamed until the meat gives way, then crisped to order and carved at your table. Pancakes, cucumber, spring onion, hoisin. It is what most tables order first and what most people come back for.

    On the à la carte — £52.00
  • Noodles pulled by hand when you order them, dropped into a broth built on braised shin, toasted Sichuan pepper and dried chilli. Rich and warming rather than punishing.

    On the à la carte — £15.80
  • A nest of egg noodles fried until brittle, then king prawns and greens spooned over so the noodles soften slowly through the meal. Timing matters, which is why it leaves the kitchen alone.

    On the à la carte — £17.40
  • Simmered gently, cooled, sliced, then returned to a very hot wok with leek and fermented bean paste. Deep and savoury without the heaviness people expect.

    On the à la carte — £16.20
  • Folded by hand each morning, crisped on one side only, served with a black vinegar dip sharp enough to cut through the richness.

    On the à la carte — £8.90

  • There is aromatic duck as a starter, so we ordered the whole duck and ate it as our mains with lots of side orders. The whole meal was delicious and the staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely family night out.
